At Beyond Dance, we provide dance education for your child hoping to give them an experience that will enrich their lives in many ways.

 

Participating in dance will help your child:

Please read the information sent to you via email. The more you know about studio activities, the more you and your child can get out of your Beyond Dance experience. 

 

Check your emails often for important information and be sure to verify that you have an updated email in our computer system.

 

Many announcements regarding snow day cancellations, policy updates, costume orders, recital information, etc. will typically be sent via email. Please save our addresses to your email address book so they do not fall into your spam folder.

 

ATTENDANCE

Attendance for class is essential for your child’s growth and development as a dancer. In fairness to all students, too many absences may result in your ineligibility to participate in the recital.

 

Promptness for class is also important. Coming late would distract the class and your child may miss important things, such as warming up for dance.

 

If your child misses a class due to illness, make-up classes are offered and must be completed within 14 days. They do not roll over into subsequent years.

 

PARKING

Free parking is available in our lot at the Cleveland Plaza, however we encourage parents to also utilize street parking as well as drop-off/pickup their child at the start and end of class.

DANCE RECITAL

We will conclude the end of the dance season with a Dance Recital. At Beyond Dance, we want to give our students an opportunity to experience the joys of performing on a stage with an audience. A recital also offers family and friends a chance to see their accomplishments in a relaxing atmosphere.

COMPETITION

Competition is for the more serious and dedicated dance student who wants to take dance to another level. Therefore, based on technique, teacher recommendation, classroom etiquette, attendance and ability to pick up choreography, students are invited to be part of the Competition Team.

 

Parents will be expected to help competition students. Please be aware that extra shoes and accessories may have to be purchased and costumes may cost more as a result.

 

Competition can be a positive experience. It is an outlet for dancers to perform in front of other dancers and an opportunity to receive feedback from industry professionals.
